Ita Buttrose : Our Ambassador

The inspirational and truly amazing, Ita Buttrose (2013 Australian of the Year) has been the advocate for Cedel for the past five years and like Cedel, is an Australian icon.

Cedel has been supporting women for more than 80 years and is proud to be aligned with such a successful, inspiring, independent woman. Ita’s fun-loving personality and aspirational business skills complement the core values of the Cedel brand perfectly.

“Cedel was actually the first hairspray I recollect buying and using,” Ita says. “There was great excitement when it launched because during Australia’s summer months it’s often hot and windy making our hair blow all over the place. When you were coiffed with Cedel, it stayed in place beautifully including those pesky flyaway hairs.”

Ita Buttrose has had an impressive career over the years, including becoming the youngest editor of The Australian Women’s Weekly at age 33.

Ita Buttrose’s multiple achievements include:

  • 2013 Australian of the Year
  • Current co-host of Studio 10 on Network TEN
  • National Ambassador of Alzheimer’s Australia, having served as National President from 2011-14
  • Renowned Australian Journalist & Businesswoman
  • Centenary Medal for Business Leadership 2003
